Zebras aim to finish on a high

Zebras coach Stanley Tshosane is confident that his charges can finish the 2010 World Cup/African Nations Cup qualifiers on a high by beating the visiting Mozambique at the National Stadium tomorrow. Kick off is at 4.30pm.

Though the result of the game will mean nothing as the Zebras cannot qualify for round three of the qualifiers, Tshosane said it is important to win and finish second in Group Seven. Currently, the Zebras are languishing at the bottom of the group with five points from five games and a win would see them get eight points. The Zebras messed their campaign when they lost 1-0 to Madagascar in Antananarivo last month.

Tshosane told Mmegi Sport yesterday that he has been impressed by the attitude of his players. He said that after the disappointment in Madagascar, he talked to the players and told  them he will not allow misbehaviour anymore. The players are said to have complained about the allowances they are owed by Botswana Football Association (BFA) on the eve of the Madagascar game. They vowed to punish the association by under-performing against the Malagasy side.
