Zebras' 12 months of horror

The past 12 months have been among the gloomiest for soccer lovers across the nation as the national team's fortunes continued dwindling.

The latest FIFA/ Coca-Cola World rankings released yesterday show Botswana ranked 35th in Africa out of 54 nations, and 124th in the world. Although the monthly rankings may not be the best tool for measuring a team's actual performance, the Zebras have recorded, if not the worst, one of their worst runs in recent times.

From January 2012 until December the same year, the Zebras played a total of 15 games, winning only two, drawing six and losing seven.
