Youth Olympic medallists tipped to soar

Young sprint sensations, Baboloki Thebe and Karabo Sibanda provided a glimpse of the future when they grabbed silver medals at the Nanjing Olympic Youth Games, which end on Thursday.

Their victories in the 200m and 400m points to a bright future for the two Botswana athletes. The Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) predicted the two are destined for greatness.

“It shows that their development is progressing well. We recommended that they be posted to the school of excellence in Goodhope,” BAA public relations officer, Ipolokeng Ramatshaba said.
