The national Under-23 team leaves for Johannesburg, South Africa en-route to Harare, Zimbabwe this morning without five key players.

Township Rollers' right-back Simisane Mathumo, UB Kicks' utility player Edwin Motlhagodi, Gaborone United midfielder Ntesang 'Mirror' Simanyana and Notwane's Kenamile Mani will not travel with the team to face the Young Warriors of Zimbabwe in the All-Africa Games qualifier because they are sitting for examinations at the University of Botswana.

However, plans have been made for the quartet to join the team on Friday and Saturday ahead of the return leg of the qualifiers at Rufaro Stadium in Harare on Sunday afternoon. The fifth player, Kgololo Leteane of Extension Gunners will not travel with the team because his club has declined to release him ahead of their  Coca-Cola Cup final against Motlakase on Saturday afternoon. Arrangements have been made for him to fly to Harare via Johannesburg straight after the game.
