Young Zebras fall in Egypt

The Young Zebras lost 2-0 in Egypt in the first leg of the Olympic qualifiers on Friday to conclude a miserable week when they conceded seven goals to nothing in just two games.

Shortly after they were beaten 5-0 by visiting South Africa's Under-23 side in Lobatse, Daniel 'Chicco' Nare's charges travelled to Egypt where they lost in a match in which they would have conceded more goals. Two headers from Hesham Mohamed and Marouane Mohsen earned the Egypt Under-23 side the 2-0 home victory over their Botswana counterparts.

Hesham opened the scoring in the first half and Mohsen sealed the victory with 14 minutes remaining to put Egypt in the driving seat to reach the next round. Botswana will face a tough task to overturn the 2-0 deficit in the second leg in Gaborone.
