Young Zebras earn rare cosafa medal finish

The national Under-20 side made a tremendous improvement in the COSAFA U-20 Tournament where they performed badly last year, as they made sure this time that they finish with medals.

The Young Zebras are third now after defeating Malawi 1-0 on Saturday in the third place play-offs. The game was lively as the boys played their lungs out in front of a crowd that braved the chilly weather to watch the final matches of Southern Africa's annual soccer spectacular.

Both sides created many chances in the opening 15 minutes of the match. The Young Flames of Malawi would, however, up their game midway through the second half, creating better chances, but failing to capitalise on some sloppy defensive job by the Young Zebras who often committed schoolboy errors.
