The Women Super League committee has said it was not informed of the donation of equipment from FIFA on Wednesday at the Lekidi Football Centre.

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) handed over P240, 000 and playing equipment for use by Super League teams. The league committee’s secretary general, Oaitse Moeti said in a statement published on their official Facebook page that they wish to distance themselves from the donation.

“We were not part of the event and we were not invited. The person who received the equipment is not part of the women’s football structure. No affiliate of women football will receive equipment without our consent (sic). The super league will hold its meeting on Saturday to discuss their challenges, they are not going to receive anything from anyone,” the statement reads.
