Who will succeed Mwaanga at Prisons XI?

Prisons XI have said they will hire their next coach from the personnel available at the club. The Warders were left without a coach after parting ways with Stanley Mwaanga, who has since joined BDF XI.

Mwaanga's contract ended last month and Prisons XI decided not to renew his contract despite leading the club to a second position in the First Division South.

Prisons XI manager, Jacob Tonoki said that either Dika Montwedi or Juluka Rankhudu will take over the reins in the new season. Tonoki told Mmegi Sport that they will look for Mwaanga's successor within the Department of Prisons. "We have many coaches in our department and there is no need to try to recruit anyone from outside. Either Montwedi or Rankhudu will take over in the near future because we have decided not renew Mwaanga's contract," Tonoki said. Although he refused to say why they did not to renew Mwaanga's contract, it is clear the club was not satisfied with his performance. Under Mwaanga, Prisons XI finished second in the First Division South League as Naughty Boys got top spot and automatic promotion to the Premier League. In fact, Prisons XI nearly finished at position three after they lost to Masitaoka in their last game but were lucky that the referee decided to prematurely end the match causing a replay to be ordered.
That gave them a second chance, which they grabbed with both hands and won the replay convincingly in Molepolole. This caused Killer Giants to protest because they felt the result from the aborted game should have stood so that they finish second and qualify for the Premier League promotion play-offs.
