With the Mascom Premier League awards ceremony penciled for June 14 at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC), Mmegi Sports Journalist TSHEPO MOLWANE looks at the three coaches who stand to run away with the Coach of the Season award next month.

Madinda Ndlovu (Nico United)
When the Zimbabwean tactician was fired by Township Rollers last year, he was written off but he bounced back and proved the doubting Thomases wrong. After Nico United showed confidence in him, despite a slow start to his job, Ndlovu started producing the results. Nico United became a force both at home and away and picked up crucial points along the way. The players started to show confidence and ended the season on an impressive fourth position with 44 points.

Credit must go to Majombolo management for showing confidence in their man and he thanked them by guiding the team to their best finish in a long time. Considering the material at his exposal, there is no doubt that Ndlovu has proven his critics wrong. Despite the accolades, the only problem with Ndlovu is that he is said to have developed an attitude towards the media. A word of advice to the tactician is that he should have a healthy relationship with the media next season as he attempts taking Majombolo to greater heights.
