Having read and watched numerous print and electronic media previews two weeks prior to the grand finale, various factors ranging from record setting to historical aspects of the game, everything appeared to weigh more in favour of United. With the domineering red colour visible from every inch of the city, to the famous Red Square and eventually at the Luzhiniki stadium where one may have for a second mistaken it for Old Trafford, the stage seemed just about set for Man United.
