What the experts say

Defending champions Mochudi Centre Chiefs and pacesetters Gaborone United (GU) square up at the Molepolole Sports Stadium tomorrow afternoon in a match that will decide the winner of the first P1 million be MOBILE Premier League cheque. Staff WriterTSHEPO MOLWANE tracked down football experts to get their views on who will walk away with the most lucrative prize in Botswana football

Mmoloki 'Smallboy' Mothibi (Radio Botswana Journalist)
The main thing in this game is focus. If both sides remain focused, the game will end in a draw. I feel the heat is more on GU because they come a long way having led the log for the better part of the season. They led Chiefs by five points at some stage and they have seen it being cut to a point and that should serve as a warning. The main undoing for Chiefs at this stage might be the fact that they want to defend all the titles they won last season. Otherwise, there is a likelihood that Chiefs will win the title.

Thabo 'Mahala' Motang (Township Rollers' assistant coach)
Chiefs have an edge over GU when going forward and they can tear any side apart. Most of their players like OT (Oteng Moalosi), Dirang (Moloi) and Piro (Pontsho Moloi), hardly keep positions and that is what makes it difficult for opponents to contain them. But GU have some individual players who can win them the game when the going gets tough and that makes me believe that it is going to be a close game. I have noticed that both sides have a sluggish defence but Chiefs will benefit from their 12th player - the supporters - who have played a crucial role in winning them games this season. I have been disappointed with GU supporters because they have not been attending games in large numbers as one would have expected.
