Shell Softball League title challengers, Wells, whitewashed Police IX 5-0 in a dull match at the UB Diamond on Saturday morning.

The game was a replay of the fixture that was abandoned due to the rains over a week ago. Police failed to repeat their feat of making a strong comeback this time, but will obviously blame the umpire for their loss after some suspect officiating.

In the abandoned duel in Jwaneng, Police were trailing 3-0 in the third inning but drew level in the fourth. However, this time, Wells kept them at bay, ensuring the furthest they went was third base. Wells themselves struggled to score a run in the first two innings. But their breakthrough came at the bottom of the third when they scored a double run in one hit.
