Wells humble BDF

Seven top one inning runs saw Wells brush aside a weakly BDF IX 8-4 in a Shell Softball League encounter played yesterday afternoon at the National Diamond.

Wells did everything right in the opening inning and quickly shot to a 3-0 lead early into the game. They got their first run through Gadifele Gadithobogwe before Thabiso Radithobane and Aobakwe Boile added on to make it three.

But the game had to be stopped for close to an hour because of the rains. After the rains subsided, recommencement was delayed as BDF wanted a restart while the umpires insisted they had to continue from where they left off. Shortly after resumption, Baolapi added another run to make it four for Wells, forcing their opponents to make a double substitution.
