Police XI have accepted blame for the failure to regularise their affiliation with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) and now risk de-registration.

"We cannot blame anybody for this, but ourselves. We should have paid on time and we did not," Police XI vice chairman, Solomon Mantswe told Mmegi Sport yesterday. Police XI's fate now lies with the BFA executive committee which is yet to deliberate on the apology written by the 2006 Premier League champions.

South East Regional Football Association had written a letter to BFA informing them about the failure by both Police XI and Security Systems to pay the annual fee and the consequences associated with the failure.
