Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) executive secretary, Kitso Kemoeng is hopeful that a review of the operations of its two structures will be completed soon.

BNSC halted the operations of Women and Sports Botswana (WASBO) and Sports Voluntary Movement (SVM) sometime last year and ordered a review because the council was not satisfied by the way the two bodies conducted their affairs.

Kemoeng believes SVM will be up and running by the second quarter of next year.  He could not specify when WASBO will start operations again.  The BNSC boss added that SVM had a consultative meeting in June this year and came up with a number of recommendations while WASBO is expected to convene a meeting by the end of this month.
