Volleyball umpires attend refresher course

About 50 volleyball umpires are expected to take part in a refresher workshop in Mahalapye over the weekend.

The workshop is one of Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF)'s initiatives to keep officials abreast with the laws of the game.

The BVF vice president in charge of technical affairs, Waboraro Mokgatla said though the federations is faced with financial challenges, it found it worthwhile to host the annual workshop. He said it is imperative that officials are refreshed as the laws of the game change each year. He said they decided to take the workshop to Mahalapye since it is a central venue and there is hope that many umpires would attend.
