Volleyball team prepare for World Cup with Zim match

He expects the players not to raise much sweat against Zimbabwe as he has a strong squad. Ntshinogang said they have problems in service and attack and this is where his main focus will be. He said there are three new players in the team that he expects to do well. The youngsters are Temogo Moetse and John Samoto of Kutlwano and Nelson Nkwinya of Diphatsa. Moetse proved his mettle in the Phakalane Winner Takes All tournament early this year while Samoto and Nkwinya are promising young players.
Botswana has never qualified for the World Cup before but this time, Ntshinogang is optimistic that his team will make it. He said since his players have met most of the teams in the Cairo qualifiers, they are ready for battle. But Ntshinogang and his team might find the going tough in what is regarded as a group of death, which has hosts Egypt, Tunisia and Nigeria. Botswana has played the three countries before and failed to register a win. Ntshinogang said though they have always suffered defeat at the hands of their opponents, the margin is always slim. He is hopeful that this time they will beat them. Captain Shadrack Kapeko said they will use the Zimbabwe game to look at their combinations. He said their focus is not to win but to get match practice.
