Volleyball retains Molaodi as President

Daniel Molaodi was on Saturday retained as the president of the Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) and immediately challenged affiliates to work hard to secure their sponsorships and not rely on the mother body to do the work for them.

Molaodi regretted that there is a tendency by some clubs to rely solely on the federation for financial support. He said loaning clubs money is not something that the federation can sustain ,considering its financial situation. This was after affiliates had suggested to the federation to consider loaning clubs money. Molaodi said however, they have had to borrow some clubs money,  but said it is something they do not encourage. He said they thought it would be a once off thing, but was worried that more clubs continue to seek such assistance.

Meanwhile, Dynamites Club's Joe Brown Tlhaselo faulted the federation for bankrolling some clubs.  He warned that they were setting a bad precedence and that the situation could cause conflicts in future.  Other members of the new executive committee are Odisitse Keotsene who was also retained after beating Percy Roberts by 12 votes.  Rhee Hetanang is the  new vice president (technical). He ousts Godfrey Mudongo. Boitumelo Janie also stood for the post.  Moabi Tlalampe was retained unopposed as treasure while Tebogo Tsie was also retained as additional member.
