MAHALAPYE: The race for top honours in this year's Mascom Volleyball League, intensified over the weekend as clubs battled it out in Mahalapye and Gaborone.

The league is now destined for a photo-finish next weekend after no definite winner emerged from the weekend games, following mixed results by top contenders in both men and women categories.

At the Railway courts in Mahalapye, it was disappointing to still have teams walking away with soft points as some teams either pitched up late for the games or failed to show up at all.
