MOLEPOLOLE: Defending be MOBILE Premier League champions Township Rollers are still in search of their first win in the current campaign after playing to a 0-0 draw against Coca-Cola Cup holders Extension Gunners in a drama-filled encounter on Saturday night.

The game that was initially scheduled to start at 7pm was delayed for at least 45 minutes as a stampede erupted at the stadium entrance with fans struggling to gain access. The referee started the game after the stadium gates were opened to allow fans free entrance.

The match was stopped after only eight minutes as supporters of the two teams started throwing missiles at each other with many sustaining injuries. The referee Tirelo Mositwane had the guts to restart the game again 20 minutes later following the arrival of police officers to beef up security. The match eventually progressed with no disturbances but the early break seemed to have broken the high tempo that showed at the first whistle. Gunners had the chance to take an early lead in the 11th minute when new signing Boitshoko Zikhale broke through the Rollers defence, only to fall to the ground after rounding goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe. His plea for a penalty was turned down, as it appeared there was no deliberate intention to bring him down by Dambe.
