National team striker, Thuto 'Vera' Ramafifi scored a hat-trick as Double Action stretched their lead at the top of the AT&T Monnakgotla National Women's League to four points with a ruthless 10-1 victory over Untouchables in Gaborone on Saturday.

Bonang 'Bebeto' Otlhagile put the defending champions, Double Action, ahead barely two minutes into the game with a well struck free-kick from outside the penalty box. Untouchables quickly got themselves back into the game 10 minutes later through Nondi Mahlasela's clinical finish. The two teams remained deadlocked at 1-1 until the end of the first half.  It was the log leaders, Double Action, who dominated in terms of possession but they were limited to several half chances by a resolute and organised Untouchables back line in the first half.

However, the champions returned from pep talk rejuvenated and ran riot in the second half, emphatically burying their opponents. Vera and Otlhagile, who scored a brace, and thrice set up her teammates for goals, masterminded Untouchables' downfall. But it was Neo Masimola who opened the floodgates early in the second half after being set up by Kitso Sheba. A minute later she added another goal, but this time Otlhagile was the provider. Untouchables were a pale shadow of the team that looked to put up a fight in the first half and were kept backpedalling throughout the second half.
