Upsets in junior tennis tourney

The Electric Junction Junior Tennis Tournament had its fair share of significant upsets during the quarter-finals played in Gaborone yesterday.

Four upsets were recorded in the Under-12 girls' category with the biggest seeing top seed Mitchell Masiyandiwa, crush out to Selebi Phikwe's Reneilwe Selema 6-2, 6-1. 

Neelo Bapele also advanced to the semi-final at the expense of second seed Marang Makolo. She took the first set 6-3 before completing her memorable victory with a 6-0 second set win.  Tshegofatso Tsiang was knocked out by the hands of Jwaneng's Lone Kgosietsile. Tsiang won the first set 7-6 before Kgosietsile rallied to win the second 6-4 and the third on a tie-break.
