Two Premier League clubs, Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Gaborone United (GU) that are rocked by internal bickerings have set dates for their annual general meetings.

The make-or-break meetings are both scheduled for next month. GU will hold theirs on July 9 in Palapye before Chiefs converge at Molefhi Senior School in Mochudi seven days later. Both sides have been facing factional wars over the control of the clubs.

 Chiefs issue although not new, recently took a nasty turn when a group led by Ramocha Tsieng and Kitso Maswena wrote to the Botswana Football Association (BFA) demanding that the prize money be deposited into an account, which they say belongs to the society. The other group however poured water to the demands and accused the other group of trying to disrupt the activities of the club for their “own selfish interests”.
