Modest Selebi-Phikwe side, Nico United shot to the top of the be MOBILE Premier League table over the weekend after the first two matches of the season.

It is probably the first time that Majombolo find themselves at the apex of the Premier League log. Nico eased into top spot after hammering struggling Boteti Young Fighters 4-1 at the Selebi-Phikwe Stadium on Saturday. This is the team's second win after dismissing debutants Motlakase 4-2 in the opening game in Francistown. It is Nico's best ever start as the club has struggled with relegation in the past seasons.

Under new Zimbabwean coach, Paul Gundani, Majombolo have now pumped in eight goals in the two games and conceded three. It was largely expected that the club would struggle to score goals following the departure of their leading striker, Master Masitara to Mozambique towards the end of last season.  On fire Township Rollers are the only other side to have collected maximum points since the season began. Rahman Gumbo's charges are second behind the surprise pacesetters with six points because of goal difference.
