Under-23s to clash with Egyptians

The national Under-23s' 0-0 draw against Namibia in the ongoing London 2012 Olympic Games qualifiers, has set up an interesting but tough meeting with Egypt next year.

The result means the Young Zebras have qualified for the next stage with a 1-0 aggregate score, having won by a solitary goal in the first leg at home. The boys had received a major boost ahead of their trip to Namibia as Uniao Flamengo Santos lifted the suspensions of two young players, Mogakolodi Ngele and Thato Bolweleng. The decision paved the way for the two players to represent their country at national level. Ngele is said to have been the lone striker in Namibia as coach Daniel 'Chicco' Nare attempted to protect the 1-0 lead they held from the first leg - and the approach worked to their advantage.

The first leg of the first next stage is likely to be played in March next year when the Young Zebras will face Egypt.
