Under-20 Coach Lashes At Players After Loss

National Under-20 women soccer team coach, Thembinkosi Takobana has lashed out at some of her players describing them as 'big headed' after they went down 4-1 to Zimbabwe in an international friendly at the University of Botswana Stadium on Saturday.

The match was part of the team's preparations for this weekend's return leg of the 2010 World Cup qualifier away to Namibia. Botswana has a slender 2-1 advantage from the first leg. Takobana said some of her players have developed an attitude, thinking that they are stars. "But we do talk to them against such things," she said after the match.

He attributed Saturday's loss to silly mistakes and poor communication. She said just like what happened when the team played South Africa, the players gave Zimbabwe too much respect. Takobana said their opponents were physically stronger.
