The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is faced with another stadia crisis ahead of the Zebras' Africa Cup of Nations tie against Malawi on Sunday.

By yesterday afternoon it was still not clear whether the game will be played at the Lobatse Sports Complex after it emerged that the turf at the newly-built stadium is not in good condition. BFA moved the game from the UB Stadium saying it is too small for the tie. However, it now appears the game may take place at the facility.

BFA chief executive officer, Judge Mookodi, confirmed yesterday that the Lobatse Stadium is not in good condition to host the game. "We will let you know if there is a change in terms of plans. There is a bit of remedial work that is happening on it so we want to see if it will be finished in time. There were patches on the ground, which were not good during the Coca-Cola Cup final," Mookodi told Mmegi Sport.
