Uncertainty haunts delayed volleyball league

The start of the volleyball league has been postponed once again despite promises and assurances that it will kick-off this weekend. This is the fifth postponement and it is not clear whether the competition will be held this year.

Initially, the league was supposed to start in July. After the latest postponement, the Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) president Daniel Molaodi and press secretary Godfrey Mudongo refused to state when the league will start. "I am not going to talk to you about that. You can try my press secretary," Molaodi said.

Though he has always discussed the issue with the media in the past, he told Mmegi Sport yesterday that he was not the right person to talk about it. Mudongo refused to talk because he had nothing to say. "There is nothing that I can talk to you about," he said before hanging up the phone.
