Umpire stops Diphatsa �BDF VI duel

FRANCISTOWN: Poor decision making by first umpire, Mokubung Mokubung spoiled an otherwise exciting Mascom Volleyball League match between Diphatsa and BDF VI at Area S barracks last Saturday afternoon.

Mokubung stunned spectators and volleyball officials when he abruptly ended the match prematurely in the decisive fourth set.

Matches between BDF VI and Diphatsa - both army sides - are always tense. On Saturday, they went for each other from the first whistle, though the visiting BDF VI had the upper hand with Teko Baruti and Loatlile Tiro launching indefensible spikes.
