The Premier League's big three, Township Rollers Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Gaborone United are crying foul over the University of Botswana (UB) stadium fee increase that will require them to fork out P30, 000 to use the facility.

All along, the three clubs which have been the main users of the facility, have paid P10, 000 per game, but the university has written a letter to the clubs notifying them of the increase. Botswana Football Association (BFA) acting chief executive officer, Tariq Babitseng confirmed the development.

"They have written to clubs saying the fee will now be P30, 000. No team can afford that. In any case, when it was P10, 000 it was used by three or four teams," Babitseng told Mmegi Sport.Gaborone United secretary Hebert Letsebe confirmed receipt of  the letter, adding that the new fee is unreasonable."This is beyond the teams, we cannot afford to pay P30, 000 because we cannot even make that from gate takings. How do we pay P30, 000 for a stadium when I know we will make a loss," Letsebe said.Chiefs' communications manager, Clifford Mogomotsi said fans were likely to feel the pinch because of this increase.
