Tshosane worried ahead of Swazi clash

BULAWAYO: Botswana coach Stanley Tshosane was left a disappointed man after his charges put to waste good chances against Comoros in the first match of the COSAFA Senior Challenge at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo on Sunday.

And now as they face a triumphant Swazi, there are clear lines of worry on Tshosane's face. His Zebras did everything needed to win against Comoros but inexplicably failed to deliver the killer punches.

The Zebras came up against a side that has nothing to lose. Comoros can play some frustrating football, putting seven defenders behind the ball when under attack, two midfielders and a single striker. So any team that plays the Comoros has to use individual player skills to open gaps in the defence, and that is what the Zebras could not do for the entire game."It was something completely opposite to what you can get and what we had planned for the match. We were all over them (Comoros) and playing according to the plan we had set. It was just too hot out there, so we planned that in the first 20 minutes, we will not rush things but then we realised we could attack and we could have won the game in the first half. The score line is not a true reflection of what happened on the pitch," he said.
