Tshireletso is new netball patron

After a lengthy period without a patron, the Botswana Netball Association (BONA) has appointed Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Botlogile Tshireletso, as its new patron.

Speaking at a ceremony to make the announcement in Gaborone on Tuesday, BONA president Tebogo Lebotse said in choosing a patron they were looking for a motherly figure.

Lebotse believes the appointment will transform netball. She said they regarded Tshireletso as one of the most credible women in the country who would bring prestige and well-deserved recognition to the game.
