The Botswana Swimming Sports Association (BSSA) has denied reports that the executive committee has been dissolved following months of internal bickering.

Concerned parents and the committee have been at loggerheads over national team selection. Some parents are unhappy that non-citizens are favoured over locals in international competitions.

BSSA president, Ruth Van Der Merwe refuted reports that they had vacated office. She said they were still in charge. There were reports that the committee had been dissolved due to the nagging national team issue.
