Tough test for netball side in tri-nations tourney

Netball fans are in for a rare treat as the national team plays fancied South Africa and Singapore in a tri-nations tournament at Thebephatshwa Airbase from tomorrow. Botswana has named a strong team to compete against the giants of the game.

South Africa is ranked sixth in the world and start as favourites. Botswana netball is on the rise following qualification to the World Championships to be held in Singapore in June.

The Botswana Netball Association (BONA) named a 14-member squad which includes respected defender, Florah Keeditse and wing attacker, Kelebogile Mangole, both of TASC. The evergreen Keeditse is largely credited for keeping attackers at bay during the World Championship qualifiers in Durban, South Africa last year. She is renowned for quickly closing down shooters with her aggressive style.
