Top ping-pong mentor coming to Botswana

Still smarting after the cancellation of the Zone Six Championships that were set for Zambia next month, local table tennis stars will be thrilled to have revered Togolese conductor Kaka Lawson in the country late next week.

Lawson is one of the most active ping-pong teachers for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) development programme. And, this time he will work with national team players during his visit to Botswana.

Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) president, Thebe Selema, confirmed both the cancellation of the championships and Lawson’s visit. He said they would make arrangements so that national team players work closely with him during his visit.
