A smasher by  Loatile Tiro clinched it for BDF VI  in the tie-breaker  ended Francistown  army side Diphatsa's unbeaten run; ensuring that the Gaborone army side  remains the only undefeated side  in the Mascom Volleyball League  first round, with two games to go.

Both sides could not be separated at 2-2, needing a tie-breaker. BDF VI took the match 25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 23-25, 15-10. Diphatsa and BDF VI entered the Saturday 3:00 pm tie at the SSKB as the only sides  yet to lose a match in the Mascom Volleyball League and their formidable form showed when the two sides took their highly charged encounter into a tie breaker.
