Three teams have pulled out of the Mascom Volleyball League which kicks-off this weekend. The Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) has said that Prisons (women) and Victory Seekers (men and women) have not given reasons why they will not take part in the competition.

During a press briefing in Gaborone yesterday, BVF president, Daniel Molaodi said the development will leave the women’s league with nine teams while the men’s competition will be reduced to 13 sides.

He said that though they understand that the teams could be facing financial problems their absence is a cause for concern and they will investigate the matter. Molaodi said that this season teams will use indoor facilities except at the SSKB courts.
