FRANCISTOWN: The current poor run by Mascom Premier League side TAFIC has been attributed to the club's financial woes.

"We depend on gate takings for the day-to-day running of our club, as it has no official sponsor, unlike other clubs that enjoy good support from big name companies in Gaborone," said club chairman, Thomas Maika. 

He added that the club's precarious financial situation has led to poor results and low morale among players. "Gate takings are our main source of income and this makes it difficult during the off season when there are no games. The money we get is, among other things, used on players' salaries and the technical staff, and this is often not enough," he lamented.
