Gaborone United (GU) returned to the summit of the be MOBILE Premier League when they narrowly beat Police XI 1-0 in a fast-paced encounter at the UB Stadium on Wednesday night. The Reds have 25 points from 10 games.

After the final whistle, GU fans celebrated the return to the top position after a brief relapse. The Reds have been leading the standings since the beginning of the season but a slip in the last two games saw them drop from the summit. GU can remain at the top until tomorrow if their closest rivals win.

On Wednesday night, the Reds started like house on fire and missed numerous scoring chances. The pressure was there from the supporters who wanted to see their side returning to the summit. They got frustrated when goals did not come. Even coach Mike Sithole could hardly sit down. He was on his feet most of the time, shouting instructions.
