The 'Raging Bull' ready to rumble

Herbert Nkabiti says he is ready to rumble when he goes into the ring for his first title fight. Although no date has been set for the bout, the boxer says he expects it to take place before June.

Before fighting what is probably the biggest bout of his career, Nkabiti will face highly rated South African welterweight boxer, Masande Kakaza in East London on February 11.This is the second time the two boxers have met in three years. Nkabiti knocked out the South African in the fourth round in 2009 as the Botswana boxer fought his first professional fight.

Currently training at SSKB, Nkabiti says he is more than ready for both fights. "I feel like I am there before I can even get there. I want to win both fights convincingly," he told Mmegi Sport.'The Raging Bull' said as he was preparing for the two fights his main focus was on improving his speed, accuracy and defence. He noted that he was not worried that his opponent for the title fight was still to be announced."I am ready for anyone. A boxer changes his system and style regularly and it does not matter who I will face. I train to match any boxer. For instance a lot of people do not know how to classify my style because I often change in between fights and rounds depending on how my opponent fights," he said.Despite his optimism the former national champion has said he would not undermine any of his opponents, but noted that he had not lost his aggression."I never want to make that mistake of undermining my opponents, but I fight to win and this includes my coming fights," he declared.
