The pressure is on

Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Township Rollers stand a chance to redeem their dented pride when they meet in a Mascom Premier League game at the National Stadium tomorrow. The eagerly-awaited game starts at 4pm.

In their last league games, both Chiefs and Rollers suffered heavy and embarrassing losses. Chiefs were humiliated 4-1 by title rivals ECCO City Greens a fortnight ago while Rollers were rocked 3-0 by minnows Uniao Flamengo Santos last Sunday. Before the dust could settle on these unflattering results, Chiefs' assistant coach Daniel 'Chicco' Nare dropped a bombshell when he unceremoniously crossed over to Rollers after covert negotiations. Hence, the two blood rivals confront each other seeking not only to salvage dented reputations but to settle scores.

Previous meetings between Magosi and Rollers have never failed to live up to expectations and tomorrow's game will be no exception. When they met during the first round in December, Chiefs narrowly beat Mapalistina 3-2 in a closely-contested game. Rollers would want to settle to have their own revenge and spoil Magosi's flagging title aspirations. On the other hand, Magosi would seek victory to keep their title dreams alive.
