The league's movers and shakers

Local premiership clubs head into the gruelling be MOBILE 2011/12 season this weekend with some having strengthened their squads. Mmegi Sport correspondent THATO KALA looks at clubs and players who shook the transfer window.

Gaborone United<br>The former champions' most significant buy could prove to be youthful international Bakang Moeng who joins them from Uniao Flamengo Santos. Moeng has a great football brain and his move to GU could be the start of his meteoric rise.

With his exceptional ability to position himself in the 18-yard box he is likely to steal the show at The Reds. Dolezar, as he is affectionately known, has a knack for scoring important goals. He has done it at Santos and for the Under-23 side. He goes into the season buoyed by his first goal for the senior national team that he scored during the Pretoria, South Africa, camp a fortnight ago. His presence could actually eclipse the signing of Zebras goalkeeper, Noah Maposa.

BMC
BMC coach Daniel 'Chicco' Nare has made some smart buys, but former Gaborone United and Mochudi Centre Chiefs' forward Sageby Sandaka could be a surprise bargain after all. If he can focus on his job, get his fitness back and reduce his nightlife he could be the main man for the Lobatse side. Lesego Lubinda from Motlakase Power Dynamos looks set to score more goals because he is quick and can run through defences with so much ease. With his quick inter-passing he could feed off from Sandaka. Should that combination bear fruit, Ezinkomo can be sure of a top five finish this season.

Extension Gunners
The Lobatse giants' bargain signing could be that of former Highlanders defensive linkman Marshall Machazani. The 25-year-old will certainly boost Gunners' cause with his aggressive play in midfield.
