The day of Miscellaneous

The stage was set for an intriguing top of the table clash between unbeaten leaders, Motlakase and second-placed Miscellaneous who were seven points off the pace. Palapye came to a standstill. It was an encounter of epic proportions and there was everything to play for; the points and pride. Miscellaneous drove just 40km from their Serowe base to get to the venue and its supporters came in droves.

The visitors knew that they could be 10 points off the pace if they lost. They would need a minor miracle to overhaul Motlakase and win the title. Motlakase, which has adopted the slogan 'This season or never' in their charge for their first title, knew how crucial the three points were. It meant preserving a brilliant unbeaten start to the campaign and earning bragging rights over Miscellaneous after thrashing the Serowe side 3-1 in the first round fixture.
