Thamaga village in the Kweneng District will host the third annual six-team tournament over the Christmas holidays to raise funds for charity. The event will feature Killer Giants of Ramotswa and Kgabosetso of Moshupa; and four Thamaga clubs; Shooting Stars, Sanyane Celtics, Thamaga Blue Aces and Thamaga Swallows.

The tournament is the brainchild of two presenters from local radio stations who hail from the village. Chillyboy Rakgare of Yarona FM and Radio Botswana's Tiro Lepotokise have joined hands in an effort to give and improve the lives of the people of their village.
The three-day tournament will run from December 25-28.

The proceeds will be donated to charity. The competition was first held in 2006 with a sponsorship of only P6,000.
