Vice-President Ian Khama and area MP Samson Moyo have donated P6,000 each to sponsor the event. All 15 villages in the constituency would compete in the tournament, which mainly aims to improve football in rural areas and keeping youth away from wayward behaviour. The villages have been divided into four pools, whose winners qualify for the semi-finals scheduled for Senyawe on September 29-30.
The champions would walk away with P3,000 and, runner-up P2,000. The third placed team will get P1,000 while the fourth pockets P500. Those eliminated at group stages get P300 consolation price each.
