TASC hold Under-20 trials

FRANCISTOWN: Mascom Premier League outfit TASC are currently holding trials to form an Under 20 side to feed the main team. Club spokesman Rambo Sethodi said the trials started yesterday and would end on Friday. He explained that TASC have a programme to help aspiring players realise their dreams and to improve the standard of football in the country.

The trials involve players between 16-20 years. "We are going to have a full time coach for this young team. Right now, we have asked one of the Botswana Integrated Sports Association (BISA) coaches here to help us," Sethodi told Mmegi Sport. He urged all interested boys to come in large numbers for the trials. He said they were expecting a huge turn up. He feels that for Botswana football to improve, there must be supporting structures at lower levels. "We would like to provide Young Zebras (national Under-23) with experienced and mature players," he said. He lamented that lack of sponsorships might frustrate their efforts.

He said that they have arranged return transport for the young players who would attend the trials at Donga BDF Camp.
