TASC defeat Sowa Flamingoes 61-11 in Netball League

FRANCISTOWN: Taking full benefit of their vivacious home supporters, TASC Netball Club beat Sowa Flamingoes 61-11 in their highly anticipated opening match at the Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education (FCTVE) courts on Saturday.

To the delight of the home crowd, TASC started quickly raced to a  6-0 lead inside five minutes. The 'Tango Girls' as TASC is affectionately known in netball circles then continued with the rout against the seemingly unsettled visitors and scored five more.

With five minutes before the end of the first quarter, Flamingoes' player/coach, Neo 'Horse' Kebuang intercepted TASC's centre pass and threw to towering Lebogang Shimane to get their first basket. The basket seemed to have motivated the players as they continued launching attacks resulting in two more quick baskets for the visiting side. But TASC stood their ground.
