Tango Boys Sustain Premier League Status

The Mascom Premier League games continued over the weekend. Champions ECCO City Greens finished the league with a 1-1 draw against third-placed BDF XI at the Francistown Stadium.

At the Lobatse Stadium, Notwane suffered their ninth defeat of the season when they were beaten 2-1 by relegated Prisons XI. The win did not move Prisons XI from the 15th position and are only left with one game against Mochudi Centre Chiefs on June 9. In Selebi-Phikwe, TASC sustained their position in the 2007/8 Premier League season when they hammered already relegated FC Satmos 5-0. The win took the Tango Boys to the 11th position pushing Nico United and Lobtrans Gunners down.  Gunners only need a point from their game against Township Rollers to ensure that they do not go for the promotional play-offs.
In Otse, dethroned league champions Police XI beat Uniao Flamengo Santos 4-3. The win took the Jungle Kings into the fourth position, the best position they can finish on this season.
