The national women football team faces an uphill battle when it takes on Namibia in the return leg of the African Women Championship qualifiers in Windhoek on Saturday.

The team left yesterday without the top two goalkeepers Lone Metlhaleng and Wame Guilty because of injuries from the first leg match. They have been replaced by Kagiso Mokeretane and Peloyame Mangope. Top striker Tshepo Nkonyana is also injured though she is in the team. Her knee injury is said to have not healed completely though doctors said she could play.

However, the coach, Kagiso Gabasiane, told Mmegi Sport before departure that the changes and injuries will not affect the team. He said the injured goalkeepers do not have much difference in terms of skill with those who replaced them.
