TAFIC beat Police XI 2-0 at SSKB on Saturday afternoon as coach Paul Moyo got the better of his rival Isaiah Mogwadi. With a number of senior players back in the team in the absence of coach Clever Hunda, many had expected Police XI to post a good performance. But it was not to be as the visitors showed both skill and determination to keep the 'Jungle Kings' in their own half from the start. The men from Francistown dominated play but were let down by persistent poor finishing. TAFIC only scored one goal through Kemmonye Elijah in the first 45 minutes as the other strikers wasted numerous chances. In the seventh minute, Elijah beat Dennis Kaelo but goalkeeper Edwin Mokibe courageously thwarted the TAFIC striker when he looked certain to score.

After Elijah's early attempt, 'Machemenyanga' continued piling pressure on Police XI and the visibly rusty international central defender Ndiapo Letsholathebe struggled to keep things tight at the back.
